Overview

I started at Uber Freight as a design resource on the Operations team, learning the supply chain industry while building tools to replace manual spreadsheet workflows. As the business scaled, internal operational inefficiencies became unsustainable cost drivers. My team’s mandate was to create a unifying platform that could grow with the business, reduce servicing costs, and pave an accelerated path towards automation. The resulting platform completely replaced reliance on the legacy tools, increased workflow efficiency by more than 60% and reduced unit costs by over $3 per shipment.

Platform framework & principles

Deep operational research, design sprints, and collaboration across teams to communicate a unifying vision that different functions could execute on independently

Workflow applications

Demonstration of the new platform by applying new patterns and iterating on over 44 operational workflows
